I can’t braid my hair.
/ No puedo trenzar mi cabello.
But I can braid a story.
/ Pero puedo trenzar un cuento.
Take Puebla. Tampa. Bern.
/ Toma a Puebla. Tampa. Berna.
Move Puebla to the middle because that is home.
/ Pon a Puebla en medio porque es mi hogar.
Tampa is on the left because it’s in the past.
/ Tampa queda a la izquierda porque es el pasado.
Now bring Bern in the middle because this is where I live.
/ Ahora trae a Berna en medio porque es donde vivo.
Repeat. Repeat. One more, until you forget where you came from.
/Repite. Repite. Una vez más, hasta que te olvides de donde veniste.
